Google has been updating its Android OS with beefier anti-theft and security features. Last year, Google also rolled out a system service to Android devices called Android System SafetyCore. A background service that silently monitors your phone for unwanted content, specifically mature content like nudity.
It all sounds good until you realize Google Messages can scan your inbox for images with sensitive content that includes nudity, spam, scams, or malware. But I’m not comfortable with the idea of having a background app scan through my texts and media. So, I went ahead and turned it off, which was easier than I thought.
